We go again on Sunday; our Saturday prediction fell short due to Manchester City’s ineffectiveness in defeating Chelsea at Etihad. However, we hope our tickets are green today.

Five picks for you

1. Sheffield United vs Brighton

With just two clean sheets in the EPL this season, just four wins in their last 18 Premier League games, and they’ve only won one game out of their last six games against relegation placed teams, conceding 15 goals in the process, I wouldn’t be so keen to back this Brighton team. Brighton’s attacking output has massively dwindled, and their defensive unit isn’t spectacular anymore. Sheffield United at home should be able to score a goal, at least against De Zerbi’s men. Sheffield United have conceded 10 goals in their last two home games, with five of those coming against Brighton in the FA Cup. With an average of 2.5 goals conceded. I believe both teams should be able to find the back of each other’s net.

Prediction: Both teams to score: yes.

2. Luton Vs Manchester United.

Since the beginning of last season, Manchester United have taken 40 points from 48 available points against teams that finished in the bottom 11 places of the Premier League or are predicted to be there this season. Luton will surely cause trouble for the Men in Red, but not withstanding, Manchester United should be able to get a win here. Luton have been known in recent times to win a lot of corners, and Manchester United aren’t so bad when it comes to corners either.

Prediction: Back Manchester United to win or Total Corners over 8.5.

3. Rayo Vallecano vs. Real Madrid.

Fresh off a Champions League win over RB Leipzig and 5 wins in their last six games, scoring 13 goals in the process and conceding just four goals,. Although Rayo Vallecano sometimes tends to cause problems for the big boys, I believe Madrid has all it takes to win this game. Sitting at the top of the table with 52 goals scored while Rayo Vallecano has conceded 32 goals…I believe they will concede a little more today.

Prediction: Back Real Madrid to win.

4. Frosinone vs Roma.

14th place Frosinone have scored 7 goals in their last six matches, so I believe they shouldn’t have a problem scoring at least a goal today. The problem is that they concede as much as they score, and a Roma team that has scored 12 goals in their last six games shouldn’t have a problem getting a result here.

Prediction: Away Win or Both Teams to Score: Yes.

5. Strasbourg vs Lorient.

We’ve seen both teams score in the last 6 Strasbourg games, and we can easily deduce they have a little defensive problem. They’ve scored 10 goals in their last six games and conceded 9 goals in the process. I believe Lorient should be able to find the back of the net here. 8 goals scored in the last 6 games should be enough proof for us that Lorient can score a goal here.

Prediction: Both teams to score: yes.
