Real Madrid defender Dani Carvajal has described teammate Vinicius Junior as one of the current best players in the world.
With both Madridistas now on international duties for their respective countries, Carvajal admits it’ll be difficult to stop Vinicius when Spain takes on Brazil next week.
“It’s difficult to stop Vinicius. The opponents try to make him nervous and now he is an opponent. He is a young boy and has already played many matches and wants to improve,” Carvajal told COPE’s Partidazo.
“He is one of the best players in the world, an example for all children and I hope that the match against Brazil, which is against racism, serves as an example for the current situation.
“In football, we all have a lot at stake and you can understand that the opponent is trying to tickle Vini. Rudiger also tries to tickle other opponents when you know they may react negatively.
“I understand that, but the referees are there to make sure this doesn’t happen. I told Vini that if he scores more than twice he won’t enter the locker room (laughs),” the 32-year-old concluded jokingly.
