Erik ten Hag, the manager of Manchester United at the moment, is probably going to stay on with Sir Jim Ratcliffe and the INEOS group past the 2023–2024 campaign. After leading the team to an unforgettable victory over rivals Liverpool in the FA Cup quarterfinals, Ten Hag’s manager tenure at INEOS is being considered for extension by co-owner and director of sports Sir Dave Brailsford.
However, if Dan Ashworth, their sports director, joins the team from Newcastle United the next season, things might be different. With regard to the football squad, Ashworth and recently appointed CEO Omar Berrada—who comes from Manchester City—will probably make the final decisions.
Quoting a source, iNews wrote: “Making big calls without consulting the experts is not what Sir Dave does. If anything, he will ask too many people’s opinions. Delegating to the right people is his thing. He is fully aware Ashworth and Berrada know better than he does whether Ten Hag is right for Manchester United. Transforming how major decisions are made is really what he is there for.”
With the goal of leading the Red Devils to a top-four finish this season in order to qualify for the Champions League, the Dutch manager has his job cut out for him. The officials might think about dismissing him if he doesn’t comply. Ten Hag will continue to concentrate on his responsibilities at Old Trafford for the time being. United will play Brentford in a Premier League match on Saturday.
