Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti said his players are going to give it their best shot in all areas when they face Manchester City in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League (UCL) quarter-final clash on Tuesday.
Recall Pep Guardiola’s City knocked Ancelloti and his boys out 5-1 ( on aggregate) in last season’s UCL semis.
With the defeat still fresh in the Los Blancos’ hearts, Ancelloti said the important thing ahead of the showdown at the Santiago Bernabéu tomorrow is to get the best possible result.
“The important thing in tomorrow’s game is to get the best we can. The mental aspect is very important, as well as the courage and personality we have to show on the pitch,” the Italian told reporters on Monday.
“We’ve had time to prepare and we’ve done very well. I’m confident we’re going to give our best tomorrow in every way, mentally, physically and technically. We have enough quality to compete.
“The first leg is very important because we’ve got the chance to play in our stadium, and we should look to make the most of the small advantage we have.”
