Juventus’ Vlahovic urges accountability in wake of frustrating draw with Cagliari

Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic has voiced the need for accountability following the team’s disappointing 2-2 draw with Cagliari on Friday.

Juventus were two goals down in the first half, courtesy of penalty strikes from Gianluca Gaetano and Yerry Mina at the Unipol Domus last night.

It was Vlahovic’s 61st minute free kick that ignited hopes of a comeback before Alberto Dossena’s 87th-minute own goal salvaged a draw for the Massimiliano Allegri-tutored side.

Reflecting on the draw post-match Vlahovic wrote on his Instagram page, “No excuses, no alibi. We need to do better and close this season in the best possible way. We want to win and we want to do it with you.”

Vlahovic’s last night goal takes his season tally to 16 goals and three assists in 28 matches.
