Real Madrid edges closer to their 36th La Liga title, with Brahim Díaz leading the charge in a commanding 3-0 victory over struggling Cádiz at the Santiago Bernabéu on Saturday.

Carlo Ancelotti made a couple of changes to his starting X1 that secured a 2-2 draw against Bayern Munich on Wednesday, and that initially kept today’s match on a tepid pace.

Despite early attempts from both sides, the scoreline remained unchanged at halftime.

The second half, however, brought heightened intensity, with Cádiz nearly taking the lead, after a defensive error from the hosts.

However, Madrid’s resilience, anchored by the return of Thibaut Courtois, thwarted any hopes of an upset. Momentum swung in Madrid’s favour after Brahim Díaz’s 551st-minute clinical strike ignited the crowd and paved the way for Jude Bellingham’s follow-up goal in the 68th minute barely three minutes after replacing Arder Güler

The strike takes Bellingham’s goal contributions for Madrid to 22 goals and 10 assists in his first season with the Spanish giants.

As the clock wound down, Real Madrid sealed their dominance with a late Joselu finish, leaving Cádiz on the brink of relegation.

Real Madrid will be crowned the 2023/24, La Liga champions should Barcelona fail to beat Girona at the Estadi Montilivi in the next few minutes.
