France’s all time top scorer Olivier Giroud has departed AC Milan for Major League Soccer side LAFC, bringing an end to a memorable three-year spell in Italy.

Giroud joined Milan from Chelsea back in the summer of 2021 in a deal worth around €4.8m. The 37-year-old registered 48 goals, 20 assists, and one Serie A trophy for the Rossoneri across 130 appearances in all competitions.
In a video posted on Milan’s official X (formerly Twitter) page, Giroud publicly confirmed his decision to leave the club in search of a new adventure in his career.

“I will be playing my final two matches with Milan and will continue my career in the MLS,” the ex-Arsenal star said.
“I’m very proud of what I’ve achieved at Milan in the last three years. My time with Milan might be finishing this year but the club will remain in my heart.”
