Real Madrid secured their first win of the season with a 3-0 win over Real Valladolid at the Santiago Bernabeu, but Kylian Mbappe failed to score in the game.

Madrid, who failed to win their opening match of the season against Mallorca, picked up their first three points against Valladolid.

Second-half goals from Federico Valverde, Brahim Diaz, and Endrick gave Madrid the win as they cruised past their opponents.

Real Madrid had a disappointing opening, creating only one clear-cut chance, which saw Mbappe denied by Valladolid goalkeeper Karl Hein.

Real Valladolid was defensively excellent against the Spanish giant in the opening half, but fell five minutes into the second half.

Valverde broke the deadlock for Real Madrid as he his free-kick deflected into the far corner from 25 yards, leaving Hein with no chance.

Carlo Ancelotti’s side pushed for a second but could not get one early as Arda Guler was denied on multiple occasions, while Rodrygo also messed up a glorious opportunity.

However, at stoppage, Moroccan Brahim Diaz doubled the lead and later assisted Endrick in the 96th minute to seal the victory.

Sensational signing, Mbappe is still in search of his first league goal as he failed to find the back of the net on his second league game.

Carlo Ancelotti however insists that Real Madrid must be patient with Mbappe following his lack of goals.

Ancelotti leapt to the defence of the France captain saying, “Mbappe is a spectacular striker, very quick, he moves very well without the ball,”

“In this position, he is going to score as he has always scored. He doesn’t need to play on the left or in the centre. In the end, he will score goals. Wait and see”, the Italian told reporters at his post-match press conference.

Real Madrid will face now Las Palmas, hoping to claim all three points after owning just four in two games, two points behind leaders Celta Vigo and Barcelona.
