After Mohamed Salah contract with Liverpool was extended last year, his legal counsel has disclosed specifics regarding his pay. The Liverpool star extended his contract with the team in 2022, and his legal counsel Rami Abbas provided important facts about the agreement, including how nearly the Egyptian forward would have left the team before deciding to stay until 2025.

Abbaa said: “When you have put your requests on the table and you don’t get anything you’ve asked for, you have to start thinking about parting ways,”

“We conservatively expect the total amount received by Mohamed [Salah] and the image rights companies over the next few years from both his playing contract and his image rights contracts to be somewhere between €54m [£46.8m] and €62m [£53.7m] per year.”

Since then, Salah has drawn real interest from the Saudi Pro League, with Al-Ittihad proposing a deal for the player that would have cost around £150 million before their transfer window closed on September 6.

Liverpool may be inclined to sell the 31-year-old once given time to find a suitable replacement for the player in the upcoming transfer windows, since the aforementioned big deal is slated to expire in 2025.

The Liverpool player will continue to conduct himself normally in Merseyside for the time being, with Jürgen Klopp’s team scheduled to play Tottenham Hotspur in North London on Saturday (5:30 p.m. UK time kickoff). On the Premier League standings, the Reds are currently in second position.
