Mind-blowing outcomes from the participating countries have made the ongoing AFCON in Ivory Coast an exciting ride.

Despite the fact that the competition is about to come to an end, many people are still debating and discussing the consequences of the final four games.

There are still four teams competing in the Nations Cup: Nigeria, the host nation, Ivory Coast, Guinea, and South Africa. On Wednesday, the four teams will play their respective opponents for a place in the final.

Nigeria vs South Africa

The semifinal match between Nigeria and South Africa, scheduled for Wednesday in Buoake, is currently the talk of the town.

Meanwhile, the Nigerian High Commission in South Africa has summoned Nigerians resident in the country’s provinces to embrace sportsmanship before and after the game.

This is due to rumors that Nigerians are ready to tease South Africans.

Recall that Nigeria and South Africa met 24 years ago in the same contest, with Tijani Babaginda’s goal making the difference during the Amapiano’s derby.

High Commission’s words:

“Most of the comments consist of veiled threats against “Nigerians cooking jollof  rice” before the match, and “showing pepper to Nigerians if Bafana Bafana lose to the Super Eagles”, among others.

“In this regard, the High Commission hereby advises the Nigerian community to be watchful of their utterances, be mindful of where they choose to watch the match especially in public places, and refrain from engaging in loud. riotous, or provocative celebrations should the Super Eagles win the match.

“Additionally, Nigerians should maintain the  good conduct they are known for, and be law abiding before, during and after !he match. Should any provocations arise, they should not be reciprocated but reported to the appropriate authorities.”
