Al Hilal and Neymar Jr. have both agreed to terminate the player’s contract by mutual consent.

The Brazilian will leave the Saudi giants with immediate effect as he will now travel for medical and sign in as new Santos player.

Neymar’s time with Al Hilal was greatly hampered by a cruciate ligament injury.

During his time in the Saudi Pro League with Al Hilal, the ex-Barca man made only seven appearances, bagging one goal during an injury-struck 18 months with the club.

He also went on to win three major trophies with the Riyadh-based side, despite not featuring for long.

Following the mutual termination, Al-Hilal wished the Brazilian good luck on his new journey.

Meanwhile, he is set for a return to his boyhood club, Santos, that forged him as a young player.

Neymar is expected to join them as free agent, as the new Brazilian league resumes by March.
