Arsenal drew 1-1 with Fulham, missing a chance to pressure league leaders Liverpool. With Liverpool not playing, Arsenal could have closed the gap. However, Bukayo Saka’s late goal was disallowed, adding to their disappointment.

Now, Arsenal is six points behind Liverpool and has played one more game. After coming close to winning the league last season, there are concerns about their chances this year. They’ve dropped 16 points in their first 15 games. Former defender William Gallas notes similarities with Tottenham in Arsenal’s performance.

Gallas pointed out that Arsenal often performs well against big teams but drops points in important matches. He questioned why this pattern continues, suggesting it has been a problem for the last three seasons.

Gallas told Prime Casino: “It’s always the same problem with Arsenal, they put in good performances and win against big teams and then drop points when it really matters, when they had the chance to close the gap on Liverpool,”

“The question is why because this has happened over the last three seasons, you have to ask what is going wrong with Arsenal. It’s the same problem every year and is it because the players aren’t good enough? The manager can’t seem to find the solution to find three points in that sort of game against Fulham.

“Arsenal are starting to remind me of Tottenham, sometimes they slip up when you don’t expect them to. Spurs have always done that but Arsenal haven’t.”

Arsenal’s unpredictability is starting to resemble Tottenham’s history of slipping up unexpectedly. The Gunners will face Monaco in the Champions League on Wednesday, followed by a league match against Everton this weekend.
