Preview: Arsenal vs. Manchester United – team news, lineups

Arsenal hosts Manchester United in a big FA Cup third-round match on Sunday. Arsenal has won the FA Cup 14 times but has struggled since their last win in 2020. They have suffered four early exits in recent seasons. In their last FA Cup appearance, they lost to Liverpool in the third round.

Arsenal recently lost 2-0 to Newcastle in the EFL Cup and had a disappointing draw against Brighton. They have lost their past two games at home, with one being the recent FA Cup defeat to Liverpool. However, Arsenal has historically been good at beating the defending champions in the tournament.

Manchester United is also struggling. They managed a draw against Liverpool but have not won in five matches across competitions. Arsenal’s injury list includes Bukayo Saka, Ethan Nwaneri, Ben White, and Takehiro Tomiyasu. Mikel Arteta may switch up his lineup after the loss to Newcastle. Leandro Trossard might give way to Gabriel Jesus, and Riccardo Calafiori could replace Myles Lewis-Skelly. Neto could also debut in goal.
