Bukayo Saka scored the winning goal for Arsenal against Fulham, just minutes after coming off the bench. This was his 10th goal of the season. Arsenal took the lead in the first half with a goal from Mikel Merino. The team dominated possession and territory, but Fulham’s defense made it difficult to score.
Gabriel pulled out of the game with a hamstring injury after just 15 minutes. Jakob Kiwior replaced him, and the team adjusted to the change. In the second half, Fulham showed some threat, but Arsenal’s defense held strong. The team created several scoring opportunities, including a vicious strike from Jurrien Timber.
Saka’s return to the game after 101 days out injured was met with a loud roar from the crowd. He scored the winning goal just eight minutes later, nodding the ball past the goalkeeper. Rodrigo Muniz scored a late goal for Fulham, but Arsenal held on to secure the win.
This was their second consecutive win over a west London team.With 10 minutes left, Jimenez missed a clear chance to get Fulham back in the game. He headed the ball poorly with the goal wide open.
Martinelli thought he had scored a goal late in the game. He received a pass from Odegaard and slipped it past the goalkeeper, but he was slightly offside. Fulham scored a goal in added time. Ryan Sessegnon and Rodrigo Muniz combined, and Muniz’s scuffed shot bounced off William Saliba and into the net.
Despite Fulham’s late goal, Arsenal had already secured the win. This was a special night for Bukayo Saka. Next, Arsenal will play Everton at Goodison Park on Saturday. They will then face Real Madrid in the Champions League on April 8.
