This was their second consecutive win over a west London team.With 10 minutes left, Jimenez missed a clear chance to get Fulham back in the game. He headed the ball poorly with the goal wide open.
Martinelli thought he had scored a goal late in the game. He received a pass from Odegaard and slipped it past the goalkeeper, but he was slightly offside. Fulham scored a goal in added time. Ryan Sessegnon and Rodrigo Muniz combined, and Muniz’s scuffed shot bounced off William Saliba and into the net.
Despite Fulham’s late goal, Arsenal had already secured the win. This was a special night for Bukayo Saka. Next, Arsenal will play Everton at Goodison Park on Saturday. They will then face Real Madrid in the Champions League on April 8.
