Arsenal cruised to victory as they put six past bottom-placed Sheffield United at Bramall Lane, making it their seventh successive Premier League win.
The Gunners’ title bid continues strong, maintaining their two-point difference from title leader, Liverpool, as they led 5-0 at halftime before adding an extra goal in the second half.
Martin Odegaard, Gabriel Martinelli, Kai Havertz, Declan Rice, and Ben White scored for the Gunners, while Jayden Bogle scored an own goal to complete the six-goal thrashing.
The win keeps Mikel Arteta’s team competing strongly in the title race, with 11 games remaining as they hope to overtake Liverpool and Manchester City, who are ahead with two points and one point, respectively, rendering Sheffield United a close ticket back to the Championship.
Arsenal hasn’t lost a Premier League game in 2024, winning all seven games, including against Liverpool and Newcastle, as they also maintained their lead on the clean sheet stats, extending it to 11 clean sheets.
Meanwhile, the North London team welcomed Thomas Partey back to the team, with the Ghanaian out with injury since playing against Manchester City last October but looks to probably lose Martinelli to injury as he limped out of the stadium in the 63rd minutes
However, Arsenal will be hosting Brentford at the Emirates on Saturday before hoping to overturn the 1-0 lead against Porto in the Champions League round of 16 second leg on Tuesday.
