Real Madrid star Vinicius Jr. reacted to Rodri’s Ballon d’Or win on X with a bold message. He vowed to “do it 10x if I have to,” adding, “They’re not ready.” His post quickly went viral on social media.

Manchester City and Spain midfielder, Rodrigo Hernandez has won 2024 Ballon d’Or. Rodri won the award ahead of Real Madrid duo Vinicius Junior and Jude Bellingham, who were considered strong favourites.

Vinicius had been a top contender for the Ballon d’Or, and many thought he was just the best candidate to claim his first award. However, news broke on Monday that he and several Real Madrid teammates were not going to attend the ceremony in Paris.

They likely already knew Rodri would win and, along with their coach Carlo Ancelotti, chose to boycott the event. After the results, Vinicius received strong support from his teammates, especially Eduardo Camavinga, who shared a passionate response.

The fallout from this controversial ceremony is expected to continue. Vinicius now aims to make a statement to the voters in Real Madrid’s upcoming game against Valencia on Saturday.
