Lonzo Ball’s comeback has hit a minor setback – he’s going to be sidelined for at least 10 days due to a sprained right wrist. This injury occurred during the first quarter of the Chicago Bulls’ 126-123 win over the Memphis Grizzlies on Monday.
Despite the injury, Ball still managed to play 18 minutes, scoring six points and dishing out six assists. This season, he’s been averaging 4.7 points, 3.7 assists, and 2.7 rebounds in 15.7 minutes per game.
The good news is that the Bulls don’t think this wrist injury will be a long-term issue, but they want to monitor Ball’s progress over the next week. As part of his maintenance plan, he won’t be playing in back-to-back games.
It’s worth noting that Ball has been working his way back from multiple knee surgeries, and this wrist injury isn’t related to his previous knee issues. He’s been feeling good about his knee’s progress, saying he can play without thinking about it.
