The Memphis Grizzlies edged out the Houston Rockets 120-119 in a thrilling matchup. Desmond Bane led the Grizzlies with 24 points and 12 rebounds, while Jaren Jackson Jr. made the go-ahead free throws with 8.6 seconds left, scoring 21 points overall.

The Rockets were led by Jalen Green with 25 points, while Dillon Brooks added 22 points and Amen Thompson finished with 21 points and seven rebounds. Despite being without key players like Alperen Sengun and Ja Morant, both teams put up an impressive fight.

The game was intense, with the Grizzlies trailing by 9 points at the end of the first quarter. However, they managed to turn things around, outscoring the Rockets 36-30 in the third quarter. The Rockets grabbed 19 offensive rebounds, leading to 30 points, but it wasn’t enough to secure a win.

Memphis coach Taylor Jenkins was livid at the referees over a late clock mishap, which almost cost them the game. The Grizzlies’ win brings them closer to the top of the Southwest Division standings, trailing the Rockets by just 0.5 games.
