Barcelona defeated fourth-division side Barbastro 4-0 to reach the last 16 of the Copa del Rey.
Robert Lewandowski netted a brace, with Eric Garcia and Pablo Torre on the scoresheet, as Barca cruises to victory.
Against the Aragonian club that sit in the relegation zone of Group Two of the Segunda Federacion, the Catalans showed dominance on both half.
Defender Garcia gave Barca the lead with an header from a Ronald Araujo cross in the 21st minute.
Lewandowski then made it 2-0 in the first half with another header. The Polish man nodded home a Torre cross from close range to double his side’s advantage 10 minutes later.
Lewandowski added a third goal for Hansi Flick’s side only two minutes into the second half after being assisted by Torre again.
The 21-year-old midfielder then got on the scoresheet to cement the clash. He capitalised on an error from Barbastro goalkeeper Arnau Fabrega and sealed an emphatic victory for Flick and Barcelona.
The Catalans made it two wins in two encounter against Barbastro in the Copa del Rey.
This was the second consecutive season in which these two sides met in the round of 32 of the Copa del Rey.
In the 2023-24 campaign, Barcelona managed a 3-2 victory over Barbastro, with Lewandowski’s 88th-minute penalty settling the contest.
