Heavy win for Vincent Kompany as Bayern Munich defeated Hoffenheim 5-0 to restore their four-point advantage in the league.
Goals from Leroy Sane, Raphael Guerreiro, Harry Kane and Serge Gnabry gave the Bavarians the victory.
Kompany’s boys scored three times in 19 minutes as they didn’t take long to open the scoring.
Bayern scored in the opening six minutes, with Sane drilling in Thomas Muller’s assist.
Guerreiro doubled their lead five minutes later, following a one-two with Harry Kane.
The hosts looks to have killed off the contest, after Kane found the net from the penalty spot in the 26th minute.
Three minutes into the second half, Bayern picked up where they left off as Sane scored his second.
The German giants then settled the contest as substitute Gnabry tapped in their fifth in the 66th minute.
Meanwhile, Hoffenheim had no single effort on target until the 70th minute, when Manuel Neuer pulled off a stunning save to deny Finn Becker a consolation goal.
Vincent Kompany’s team are leading the Bundesliga table, with 42 points, four ahead of defending champions Bayer Leverkusen.
