Carlo Ancelotti has renewed his contract with Real Madrid by two more seasons, with an expiration set until 30 June 2026.
Diverse reports formerly linked the Italian coach to the Brazilian national team’s managerial position, but as things stand, the rumuor has been put to rest with this contract renewal.
“Real Madrid CF and Carlo Ancelotti have agreed to extend our coach’s contract until 30 June 2026,” Madrid’s official statement reads.
“In his five seasons as Real Madrid coach, he has won 10 trophies: 2 Champions League titles, 2 Club World Cups, 2 Uefa Super Cups, 1 La Liga title, 2 Copa de Rey trophies and 1 Spanish Super Cup.
“Carlo Ancelotti is the only manager to have lifted four European Cups and is the coach with the most victories in the history of this competition (118), and he is also the first manager to win the five major European leagues (Italy, England, France, Germany and Spain.”
Having previously managed Real Madrid from 2013 to 2015, Ancelotti’s second stint with the Spanish giants started in 2021 when he joined from Everton.
