2018 World Cup winner Paul Pogba, has suffered a huge career blow, after getting slammed with a four-year ban for doping

The decision comes after Pogba failed a doping test on August 20, 2023, following Juventus’ Serie A match against Udinese, despite being on the bench for the entire game.

Reports from various sources in Italy, including Repubblica and Sky Sport Italia, confirm the verdict from the country’s anti-doping tribunal.

Pogba had been provisionally suspended since September 2023, following the order from the National Anti-Doping Tribunal back in September 2023.

The French man returned to the Bianconeri on a free transfer from Manchester United in 2022, but the 25-year-old’s second stint at the Allianz Stadium has been marred by limited playing time (due to injuries and now the doping scandal), with just 12 appearances across all competitions.

The 30-year-old has the option to challenge the tribunal’s ruling through an appeal process.
