Brentford come from behind to beat Bournemouth 2-1 at the Vitality Stadium, achieving their fifth consecutive away win in the Premier League. Bournemouth took the lead when a cross by Milos Kerkez deflected off Brentford midfielder Vitaly Janelt’s shoulder into the goalpost.

However, Brentford equalized 13 minutes later. Yoane Wissa scored with a header from a corner taken by Bryan Mbeumo, marking his 14th Premier League goal of the season. Brentford captain Christian Norgaard scored the winning goal after Bournemouth failed to clear a long throw into their box in the second half.

A Bournemouth win would have moved them to sixth in the table, especially with Newcastle and Manchester City not getting results earlier in the day. Instead, Bournemouth’s winless streak in the Premier League extends to four matches.

Antoine Semenyo missed a chance to give Bournemouth the lead again when he headed a cross by Justin Kluivert off the bar from just six yards out. After Norgaard’s goal, Brentford goalkeeper Mark Flekken made crucial saves from David Brooks and Marcus Tavernier to keep the lead.

Yoane Wissa, who scored the winning goal in Brentford’s last two matches against Bournemouth, scored again. He equalized by heading the ball in while Bournemouth goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga was off his line, trying to punch away Bryan Mbeumo’s corner.

This equalizer ignited Brentford’s best phase of the game, with Mbeumo nearly scoring from 20 yards and Kevin Schade missing after a set-piece. Christian Norgaard reacted quickly to score from close range after the ball slipped past two players close to the post.

Bournemouth has now played Brentford six times in the Premier League and is yet to win. They remain in ninth place, three points ahead of 11th-placed Brentford, who are still hoping for a spot in Europe. Brentford did not win any of their first nine away games in the Premier League this season, but they have now won five in a row, their best streak since 2010 in League One.

Bournemouth will face Manchester City at home in the FA Cup quarter-finals after the international break on March 30. Brentford will travel to Newcastle for a Premier League match on April 2.
