Brnoe-Gittens’ brace wins first season’s game for BVB

Jamie Brnoe-Gittens’ second half brace was enough to earn Borussia Dortmund their first win of the season in the first game of the 2024/2025 campaign.

Dortmund won Eintracht Franfurt 2-0 to kickstart their 2024/2025 Bundesliga season with Brneo-Gittens scoring both goals.

The Englishman was on the bench at the beginning of the game and was introduced in the 59th minutes as Dortmund were in search of an opener.

Dortmund, who finished in fifth position last season, broke the deadlock in the 72nd minutes after struggling to find the back of the net.

Pascal Gross assisted Gittens as the England U21 hit a sublime strike into the top corner from a tight angle to give BVB the lead.

The Manchester City prodigy doubled the lead in the stoppage time following a Ramy Bensebaini’s assist from a quick counter attack.

Dortmund’s new Head Coach, Nuri Sahin, earned his first three points in his first league game for the hosts.
