The Chicago Bulls secured a thrilling 116-112 win over the Cleveland Cavaliers in their preseason matchup at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse in Cleveland. The Cavaliers started strong, dominating the first quarter 31-24, but the Bulls fought back in the second quarter, outscoring them 36-30.
The Bulls took the lead in the third quarter, 34-18, and managed to hold off the Cavaliers in the fourth quarter, 28-27. Evan Mobley made some impressive shots for the Cavaliers, including a 1-foot two-point shot and a 9-foot jumper. Donovan Mitchell also contributed to the Cavaliers’ score with a 26-foot three-point step-back jumpshot and a 24-foot three-point shot.
Evan Mobley did exceptionally well by scoring 19 points, 9-14 shooting, 0-2 from three, 6 rebounds, 3 blocks, and 1 assist in 19 minutes. Donovan Mitchell scored 12 points, with 4-8 shooting, 2-3 from three, 4 assists, and 2 rebounds in 19 minutes. Darius Garland scored 13 points, with 5-11 shooting, 3-6 from three, 5 assists, and 1 rebound in 19 minutes. Nikola Vucevic made significant contributions for the Bulls, including a 7-foot two-point shot and a 17-foot jumper.
The Bulls’ strong third quarter proved to be the turning point in the game.
