The Oklahoma City Thunder edged the Los Angeles Clippers 103-101 on Sunday night, extending their winning streak to six games. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led the Thunder with 26 points and eight assists, while Aaron Wiggins scored 19 points.
Kawhi Leonard had 25 points and 10 rebounds for the Clippers, and James Harden scored 17 points. However, Harden’s performance was marred by six turnovers and a critical blunder in the final seconds that spoiled the Clippers’ comeback attempt.
The Thunder’s victory was impressive, given that they were without their second- and third-leading scorers, Jalen Williams and Chet Holmgren, due to hip injuries. The team’s depth and resilience were on full display as they held off the Clippers’ late surge.
In other recent matchups between the two teams, the Thunder have consistently come out on top. They won 116-98 on January 3, 2025, with Gilgeous-Alexander scoring 29 points. The Thunder also won 134-128 on an unspecified date, snapping a four-game win streak for the Clippers.
The Clippers, however, have had their share of victories against the Thunder. They won 127-105 in a game where Kawhi Leonard had a standout performance with 32 points, six assists, and six rebounds.
