Cole Palmer has extended his stay with the Chelsea Football Club by signing a new contract with a two years extension to remain at the Stamford Bridge till 2033.

The 22 years old England attacker has contract on ground until 2031 but decided to extend terms up until June 2033, followed by an undisclosed huge pay rise in his salary.

Palmer’s new terms are a reward after a hugely successful first season at Stamford Bridge, in which he registered 25 goals and 15 assists in 45 appearances across all competitions.

Chelsea signed Palmer from Manchester City last summer for a fee of £42.5million on a seven-year contract with the option of a further 12 months, having only played 19 times for the Manchester club.

The Stockport-born has gained the hearts of the Blues with his exploits in just his first season, taking the same form to the EURO 2024, and displayed a brilliant performance even with less appearance.

After remaining an unused substitute for England’s first two matches, Palmer featured in all five of their next games as a substitute, as they reached the final, where he scored his side’s equalising goal in the 2-1 defeat by Spain.

His impressive season has thus earned him the praises of players, fans and legends, such as Joe Cole, Alan Shearer, Rio Ferdinand, Roy Keane, Paul Scholes, and many more.

Cole Palmer’s first season at Chelsea also earned him the Club’s Player of the Year award, EPL Young Player of the Season, PFA 2023/24 Fans’ Player of the Year, EPL Game Changer of the Season and was also among the EPL Fans’ Team of the Season.

Palmer is also in contention to win more individual laurels after been nominated for PFA Player of the Year and 2023/24 PFA Young Player of the Year, making him the only player to be nominated for both awards for the 2023/24 season.

Palmer will be hoping to replicate his form as Chelsea will kickstart their 2024/25 EPL season against reigning champion, Man City, at the Bridge.
