Stephen Curry is taking home the Kia MVP award after leading Shaq’s OGs to victory in the first-ever NBA All-Star mini-tournament. Curry scored 12 points, including four 3-pointers, to help his team dominate Chuck’s Global Stars 41-25 in the final game.
The new format featured four teams competing in a mini-tournament, with Shaq’s OGs emerging as the champions. The team, drafted by Shaquille O’Neal, consisted of Curry, Kevin Durant, Jayson Tatum, and other veteran stars.
Curry’s performance earned him the Kobe Bryant MVP award, and he was overcome with emotion as he received the trophy in front of his home crowd in San Francisco. This is Curry’s second All-Star Game MVP award, solidifying his status as one of the greatest shooters in NBA history.
The mini-tournament was part of the 74th NBA All-Star Game, which introduced a new format to revitalize the event. While the presentation received some criticism, the games themselves were competitive and exciting, with the OGs ultimately emerging as the winners.
