New signing, Dani Olmo, shined on his debut for Barcelona, scoring the winning goal against Rayo Vallecano.
Olmo struck a late winner to steal a 2-1 comeback victory at Rayo Vallecano as the Barcelona continued their perfect start to the season with a third consecutive win.
Meanwhile, Unai Lopez gave Rayo the lead in the ninth minute, but Barca levelled with Pedri scoring from a counter-attack in the 60th minute.
Olmo is the first player to score on his debut for Barcelona in LaLiga away from home since Sandro Ramirez in August 2014 against Villarreal.
The former Leipzig attacker, after delay from registration into the league, came on for Ferran Torres at the start of the second half to debut for Barca.
Olmo’s introduction brightened the game as he almost won a penalty and also had a powerful shot hit the crossbar.
He went on to score a curling strike in the 82nd minute after meeting meeting a cutback pass from teenage Lamine Yamal, to complete the comeback.
The Spanish international was pumped to joy with his debut. “I’ve been waiting for this moment for many years. We haven’t won in this stadium for long time and I’m very happy now we did”, he said.
Dani Olmo was named the man of the match, following his second half performance and winning goal.
Meanwhile, Rayo Vallecano’s new signing, James Rodriquez, watched from the stand as his side lost to Barcelona.
The result keeps Barcelona at the top of the La Liga table, after claiming all nine points from three games.
Hansi Flick’s Barca also ended their poor form at Vallecas, where they previously had not won in the past three years.
Barcelona remains the only team with a 100% record in La Liga this season.
