The Denver Nuggets had a fantastic season last year, winning the NBA championship for the first time in franchise history. Led by Nikola Jokić, they secured the Western Conference’s top seed with a 53-29 record and went on to defeat the Miami Heat in the NBA Finals, 4-1. Nikola Jolik was named the NBA Finals MVP, capping off an incredible playoff run for the Nuggets.

The Nuggets’ quest for back-to-back championships was cut short in the Western Conference semifinals, as they struggled to overcome the loss of key bench players. Without a reliable supporting cast, the team was vulnerable when their starters needed a break or experienced a slump, ultimately leading to their downfall.

DeAndre Jordan is a re-signing in the Denver Nuggets. He signed a one-year deal worth $3.6 million to remain with the team. This marks his third season with the Nuggets, and he’s excited to continue playing with the team after winning his first NBA championship last season.

The Denver Nuggets added some exciting players to their roster, including Dario Saric and Russell Westbrook as free agents.

The Denver Nuggets selected DaRon Holmes II with the 22nd overall pick in the 2024 draft. Holmes II is a forward/center from the University of Dayton. The Nuggets traded up from the 28th spot to select him, using their 56th pick and two future second-round picks in a deal with the Phoenix Suns.

The Denver Nuggets had a few key players leave the team, including Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, who signed with the Orlando Magic, and Reggie Jackson, who signed with the Philadelphia 76ers. Additionally, Vlatko Cancar, Justin Holiday, and Braxton Key remain unsigned free agents.

The Denver Nuggets are looking to reclaim their title in the upcoming 2024-25 season, and expectations are high. With Nikola Jokic leading the team, they have a good chance of making it to the Finals again. However, the team’s decision to let go of key players like Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and sign younger players has raised some eyebrows.

Jamal Murray’s performance will also be crucial in determining how far the Nuggets can go this season. The team’s management is betting on younger players to step up and fill the gaps, but it’s a risky move.
