Republic of Ireland international Evan Ferguson, has signed a new deal at Brighton & Hove Albion till 2029.
The 19-year-old joined the Seagulls from Bohemians in January 2021 and seven month later, the youngster marked his EPL debut to become the club’s youngest player on the pitch while replacing Enock Mwepu in the 81st minute.
The striker has scored 10 PL goals for Brighton in 2023, amongst which was a hat-trick against Newcastle back in September to become the fourth 18-year-old in PL history to achieve such a feat.
“Evan deserves this new contract and he has a very big future ahead of him,” the club’s manager Roberto De Zerbi said via their website.
David Weir, Brighton’s Technical director also added: “He’s shown his ability at club and international level, after breaking into the team at the start of the year, and we are looking forward to working with him and watching his continued progress.”
Evan Ferguson has found the back of the net 5 times in 14 appearances across all competitions for Brighton this season.
