After a frustrating opening 45 minutes, England displayed an impressive performance as they won 5-0 against Northern Ireland.
Second-half goals from captain Harry Kane and four other players who snatched their first international goals, gave England the victory.
The first half went barren as the Three Lions’ boys struggled to break the Irish defense.
However, in the 51st minute, Kane changed the tune with one glorious pass from the left wing to Jude Bellingham, who was upended by Liam Scales.
The Celtic defender was handed his second yellow card and Kane scored the penalty coolly to score his 69th international goal.
Five minutes later, England were 3-0 up and cruising after Anthony Gordon and Conor Gallagher both netted their first goals for the Three Lions.
Tino Livramento charged down and sent a cross which Gordon volleyed home for a goal made and finished in Newcastle.
Two minutes later, Gallagher made it 3-0 after nipping home Marc Guehi’s header from Noni Madueke’s corner.
Bowen then arrived as a sub and scored a beauty with his first touch in the game. A free-kick was played short and Bellingham cut back for Bowen to score his first goal for England.
Debutant Taylor Harwood-Bellis added the fifth with a downward header from a glorious Bellingham centre.
Meanwhile, Carsley’s six-match stint as interim boss must be considered a success, with five wins out of six. England also achieved promotion to the top tier of the Nations League.
The Englishman is to be replaced by Thomas Tuchel.
