Erik ten Hag reveals he has spoken with Manchester United about his thoughts on Mason Greenwood. As an internal inquiry is still ongoing, Greenwood is awaiting word from the team regarding his future.
He hasn’t played for United since his arrest. He was charged with attempted rape, assault resulting in actual bodily harm, and engaging in coercive and controlling behavior after the club suspended him in January 2022.
Even after the accusations against Greenwood were dropped, the Red Devils is yet to accept him back into the fold. United are set to make a final decision on Greenwood’s place at the club before the end of the month, and Ten Hag is waiting on the verdict after giving his opinion.
“On this, it’s a club decision and of course, I said my opinion but it’s a club decision and we have to accept that, i can’t say so much about it but I shared my opinion about it, so let’s see what’s going to happen.” Ten Hag told reporters before his team’s latest friendly against Arsenal.
Juventus is rumored to be interested in taking Greenwood on loan. In the potential deal to transfer Rasmus Hojlund to Old Trafford, it has been suggested that he might be shipped to Atalanta and that Roma have also showed interest in him.
