Manchester United were forced to a 3-3 draw at Instabul by Galatasary on Wednesday night.

True to their words, Galatasaray fans welcomed the Red Devils to a hostile atmosphere at Rams Park stadium, but it took the English Giants two beautiful first-half goals to diffuse the home team’s concentration momentarily before all hell broke loose in Istanbul.

In a dire search of a win to boost their chances of qualifying out of the group, Alejandro Garnacho put Manchester United to a definitive start in the 11th minute, leveraging Bruno Fernandes’ nice pass to fire a shot into the roof of the net.

Seven minutes later, the provider put his name on the scorer sheet, after receiving the ball from Luke Shaw outside the box. The United captain who was unmarked took that to his advantage and sent the ball past Fernando Muslera from a distance.

The encouraging start for the away side however came to a shaky stop in the 29th minute, as Hakim Ziyech sent a sublime free kick past Andre Onana who ought to have saved the close effort to protect his side’s lead.

Galatasaray doubled their lead minutes later through Mauro Icardi, but the goal was chopped off for offside to guarantee the game entered the break 2-1 in the host’s favour.

Erik Ten Hag’s men came into the second half like a team on all toes and got a deserved third goal after their teamwork saw a rushing Scott McTominay bury Aaron Wan-Bisakka’s cross in the 55th minute.

With the two-goal cushion, United seemed to be in control, but Gala took advantage of a similar situation that led to their first goal to rattle their opponent.

After Fernandes fouled Ziyech in a promising position, the former Chelsea winger tried his luck from the free kick which Onana fumbled yet again.

In their recent usual style, the Mancunian giants gave up their lead in the 71st minute, with Ziyech finding Kerem Aktürkoğlu who showed composure to score the game’s last goal.

Both sides scrambled for the winner to increase their chances of nipping the second spot in Group A, but all efforts ended in futility—taking the fight to the last group game.
