NFF President Ibrahim Gusau has revealed that the future of Jose Peseiro as the coach of the Super Eagles will be determined by Nigerian fans.
With Peseiro’s one-year contract coming to an end on June 30, Gusau has announced that the NFF will conduct a special poll to allow fans to have a say in whether the 63-year-old coach should continue or be dismissed.
Speaking on the LovingFootball Radio show, Gusau said: “We have the plan to push the votes to Nigerians to hear their views and thoughts
“We’ve tried the foreign coaches and also the local coaches. Maybe we didn’t get it right in the area of getting the right person. We are going to push it to the public, whether we should continue with Peseiro or he should go.
Peseiro’s record so far with the Super Eagles includes four victories and five defeats – also qualifying Nigeria for the 2023 AFCON following a 3-2 win away against Sierra Leone earlier this month.
