Bayern Munich have confirmed that Serge Gnabry has suffered a hamstring injury that is poised to keep him sidelined for the remainder of the season.
Gnabry was withdrawn 27 minutes into Bayern’s UEFA Champions League (UCL) semi-final clash against Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabéu on Wednesday.
The club confirms that the German international had torn a muscle in his left hamstring, which will keep him sidelined for the rest of the season.
“Serge Gnabry will miss the remainder of this season after the Bayern forward suffered a hamstring injury in Wednesday’s Champions League semi-final second leg against Real Madrid, having to leave the field after 27 minutes. This follows examination by the club’s medical department,” Bayern’s report reads.
Gnabry, according to BILD is expected to be sidelined for six weeks. This development might Julian Nagelsmann to overlook the winger for his Euro 2024 squad.
This is the 5th injury the ex-Arsenal star has endured this season.
