Real Madrid clinched another emphatic victory to seal their triumphant season, as they defeated Deportivo Alavés 5-0 at Estadio Santiago Bernabeu on Tuesday.

Led by captain Nacho, Madrid players paraded through a guard of honour with the La Liga trophy in front of their fans before the match kick-started.

However, Alavés sought to spoil the party, with Samu Omorodion testing Thibaut Courtois as early as the second minute.

The champions, however, got themselves back into the game with a 10th-minute opener, as Toni Kroos orchestrated a sublime cross met by Jude Bellingham’s impeccable side-foot volley. About 17 minutes later, Vinicius Junior doubled the hosts’ lead from Edouardo Camavinga’s assist.

Despite Alavés’ spirited attempts to claw back into the game, Federico Valverde’s clinical strike just before halftime effectively dashed any hopes of a comeback.

Real Madrid’s relentless pressure continued into the second half, with Vinícius and company relentlessly testing Alavés’ defence. Bellingham’s ingenuity unlocked the opposition once more, allowing Vinícius to notch his second goal of the match with a precise finish in the 70th minute.

With the match well in hand, Madrid refused to ease off the pedal, exemplifying their unwavering commitment to excellence.

A driving run from Rodrygo set up Arda Güler for the fifth goal, which makes it four goals in four starts for the Turkish youngster following his goal against Granada on Saturday.

The victory extended Madrid’s unbeaten streak to 30 matches in La Liga, while they also became the team with the most cleansheets of the season.
