With the transfer summer coming to a close with less than 48 hours on the clock, clubs and players will hope to seal all deals as they continue their season campaign.
The English Premier League clubs have all made their moves over the past few months, more so than others. Still, with few hours left, some of them may have an ace still to play.
There are also some big name players, who are seeking resolutions to their own futures. Some includes;
Jadon Sancho
The Manchester United man revived his drowning career during his loan spell at Borussia Dortmund last season. He was frozen out at United by Erik ten Hag but has patched things up with his manager. However, he has been left out of the two matchday squads thus far.
This implies that a move away is imminent with Juventus and Chelsea hanging around for his service. Sancho’s move is thus looking bound to happen on deadline day as parties are weighing their deals.
Marc Guehi
Crystal Palace are holding tight unto their star man as they have lost Michael Olise to Bayern Munich. Newcastle are however pushing hard for the Englishman. Their bids have turned down by Crystal Palace, who are increasingly unlikely to sell another of their centre-half options.
Guehi was impressive for Palace and England last season and is bound to leave for greener pastures. The Eagles have turned down a £60m offer from Newcastle and it looks as it would have to wait for deadline day to see the deal probably go through.
Ivan Toney
Toney has signalled his desire to leave and has attracted the interest of Chelsea, Manchester United and Al-Ahli. Although, Brentford haven’t yet made a decision on where he goes despite leaving him out of their opening games.
A route to Al-Ahli looks closer as the Saudi Arabia’s club are pushing hard to get Toney. With a huge wage offer, its highly likely for Toney to be convince to head to the Middle East.
However, with limited time, we would have to wait until the deadline day and see how it unravels.
Victor Osimhen
The Nigerian is another man on the Saudi radar as his future with Napoli looks increasingly uncertain. Antonio Conte is now the manager and has clearly stated that Victor was not in his plan. Conte has finally landed Romelu Lukaku to become the team’s new No 9, thus leaving Osimhen in the lurch.
Oshimen has also stated he was leaving and is considering offers from Chelsea and Al-Ahli, after Paris Saint-Germain pulled out of the race to sign the Nigerian.
Deadline day would disclose where Victor Oshimen’s future lies, whether he stays in Naples or make the switch to England, or prefers the Middle East.
Raheem Sterling
Raheem has become the man who Chelsea no longer want, two years after his £50m switch. New Head Coach, Enzo Maresca has made his views clear on the winger, that he is not the kind of winger he prefers and would have to leave Stamford Bridge if he wants to play.
It is now clear that the winger needs to look elsewhere, with the way his situation was handled at Chelsea.
Arsenal and Manchester United are the only clubs rumoured to be involve in the wingers talk. However, his high wage and transfer fee looks like a stumbling block as Arsenal especially looks unlikely to break bank for him.
In search of a team to play this season, Sterling will definitely be leaving Chelsea. Who is going to sign the English forward, will be known probably on deadline day.
Kingsley Coman
Bayern Munich are open to offloading Kingsley Coman as he looks not to be in the plans of new manager, Vincent Kompany. The winger, who scored the winner when they won the Champions League in 2020, is expected to be offloaded before the transfer window closes.
Coman himself would prefer a move to the Premier League, whilst a Saudi switch is also an option as Al-Hilal are looking at bringing the Frenchman over. A quest for playing time would mean Coman has to leave and if he does, we would likely be seeing the move on deadline day.
