About 2 months into this season, Chelsea has finally secured a principal partner that’ll equally serve as their front shirt sponsor, having donned sponsorless shirts hitherto.
Although the club’s official announcement released a few minutes ago via their website didn’t state the deal’s worth, diverse sources claim it’s around the region of £40m.
“From the outset, it was clear the potential Infinite Athlete has in leveraging technology to unlock competitive advantage and to enhance the fan experience,” Chelsea chief executive officer, Chris Jurasek said.
He added: “We have a like-minded partner in Infinite Athlete. The speed at which our relationship has grown, alongside the evolution of Infinite Athlete’s business, made this an obvious extension of our partnership.
“Infinite Athlete has the potential to revolutionise the world of football and global sports, particularly when it comes to fans wanting to consume more match and player data and control their own viewing experience, while also providing players and coaches with insights and analytics that can help with player performance, health and safety.”
Both Chelsea’s women and men’s teams will have the Infinite Athlete’s logo on their shirts when they take on Tottenham Hotspur and Fulham on Sunday and Monday respectively.
