Inter Milan missed the chance to go top of Serie A as they were defeated 3-0 by Fiorentina in a rescheduled fixture.
Moise Kean scored twice, with Luca Ranieri scoring the other to give the hosts all three points.
The original match was on December 1, 2024. However, it was suspended when Fiorentina’s Edoardo Bove collapsed on the pitch and was rushed to hospital. It was later revealed he had suffered a cardiac arrest.
The game restarted at 0-0 in the 17th minute, with a Fiorentina throw-in.
Both team went playing a goalless draw in the first-half, with Inter gunning for a victory to take them ahead of league leaders Napoli on goal difference.
However, Fiorentina took the lead in the 59th minute through Luca Ranieri. Kean then doubled the advantage nine minutes later, heading Dodo’s cross past Yann Sommer.
The former Juventus striker wrapped sealed the victory in the 89th minute. He took advantage of a terrible back pass from Federico Dimarco to convert into an empty net.
Inter sits still in second position, three points behind Napoli. Fiorentina meanwhile are fourth on on the log.
