Inter Milan got back to winning ways, beating Udinese 3-2, as Lautaro Martinez scored his first league goals of the season.
An early goal from Davide Frattesi and a brace from Martinez secured the victory for the Italian champions.
Frattesi opened the scoring in just 43 seconds into the game to give Inter the lead. The Italian, who replaced Nicolo Barella, ran onto Darmian’s through ball and finshed past a distracted Maduka Okoye.
Martinez almost doubled the lead but nodded a free header wide of the back post. Marcus Thuram also got his shot parried away by Okoye, while Frattesi shinned the finish wide.
Udinese fought back, as Dimarco made an extraordinary block to prevent the Sandi Lovric tap-in. They equalised from the resulting corner, as Kabasele sent a header into the net from Jordan Zemura’s cross.
Inter restored their lead at the closing of the first half as Martinez got his first goal of the season. He took advantage of a Dimarco ricocheted cross from the left to give Inter the lead.
The Argentine got his second as he sent a right-footed shot into the near bottom corner, receiving a pass from Thuram. Last year’s Capocannoniere came close to a hat-trick, but Okoye intercepted the lob to deny the Argentine.
Udinese got back into the game, courtesy of Lorenzo Lucca’s brilliance. The Udinese man ran onto a through ball, shrugging off Calhanoglu and Stefan de Vrij’s pressure to surge forward and prod into the net.
Okoye ensured to avoid conceding the fourth as he stretched at full length to push the deflected Joaquin Correa curler over the bar.
