Italy to host next edition of the Davis Cup finals

The next edition of the Davis Cup finals has now been officially confirmed to hold in Bologna, Italy in 2025.

According to Italian outlet gazzetta.it who the news to the public on Monday, mentioned that next edition of the Davis cup final will be played in Italy.

They also confirmed that barring any last minute changes, the event will stay in Italy between 2025 to 2027.

“The ITF has made it official: the event that until this year was held in Malaga will be held in Emilia from 18 to 23 November.

“The official announcement came a short while ago from the ITF: a multi-year agreement until 2027. For now, only the first location is known, in Bologna from November 18 to 23, and then a possible rotation with Milan and Turin.

“The Emilian capital had hosted the group stage until September of this year and would have had another year assured by the previous assignment but the ITF has decided to change the formula: no more groups but away and home matches.

“Bologna would thus maintain its Davis appointment for 2025 while waiting for the details to be known for the next few years, until 2027.

“The Italian organization and the work of the Fitp, the two Insalatiere and the number 1 in the world have certainly made the choice of the International Federation easier. The Azzurri, as athletes of the host country, will already be qualified for the final phase, thus saving themselves the previous eliminations . Italy who are boosted by the presence of current ATP Worlds No.1 Jannik Sinner has already qualified for the quarter finals of next year’s Davis Cup after winning the title for the second season running beating the Netherlands in Málaga last November.
