“It’s impossible,” Musiala refutes Messi’s comparison

Bayern Munich prodigy Jamal Musiala has made it clear that he’s not chasing the shadow of Lionel Messi.

Widely recognised as a top talent globally, Musiala has sparked discussions about his potential to contend for the Ballon d’Or, much like Messi has in previous years.

However, the 21-year-old considers trying to mirror Messi’s achievement as an unattainable goal.

In a recent interview with Marca, the German said, “I don’t know, I don’t think I can compare myself at all with Messi and that is almost an impossible mission.

“I think comparing myself to Leo or any other player is in vain. I take my profession year by year and I continue working to try to be better and win titles for my team. Only then will they arrive safely.”
