New Al-Ettifaq manager Steven Gerrard is interested in signing Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson to play in the Saudi Pro League.
Following his appointment as manager of Ettifaq this week, he is already eyeing Reds captain Henderson, who has been at Anfield since 2011. He has scored nearly all of Liverpool’s goals and is currently being considered for a transfer to Saudi Arabia.
It is unclear if Jurgen Klopp’s team will be willing to part with Henderson, who is under contract until 2025. He has participated in 43 games across all competitions last season.
It is not yet clear if Henderson would be open to the move but Ettifaq are positioning themselves to spend much under Gerrard, with the report claiming they are interested in several European players. However, in the upcoming weeks, his stance on the move will become known.
