Two quick second-half goals from Samuel Mbangula and Timothy Weah earned Juventus a win over AC Milan.

The victory ensured that the Old Ladies returned to winning ways after a run of four matches without victory.

The two Italian giants fought hard in the first half but were unable to open the scoring.

Thiago Motta’s side went closest to scoring during the first period, when Federico Gatti headed a glorious opportunity wide from close range.

AC Milan goalkeeper Mike Maignan also had a nice saves to deny Juventus. He kept the scoreline in stalemate to deny Kenan Yildiz.

The Frenchman also came to Milan’s rescue in the 54th minute with a superb double-save to deny Weah and Teun Koopmeiners.

However, the Bianconeri broke the deadlock in the 59th minute, leaving Maignan helpless as Mbangula’s curling effort went in off the crossbar.

Substitute Weah then secured the victory in the 64th minute, racing away from Fikayo Tomori before beating Maignan at his far post.

The win is Juventus’ first home victory over Milan since November 2019.

Meanwhile, AC Milan coach, Sergio Conceicao lost his first game since taking over the Rossoneris.
