It may seem as though Kai Jones of the Hornets has played to his satisfaction for the team that he requested to be traded. He announced on the X app that the organisation has received his formal request for a trade.
The Hornets have opted not to respond to inquiries.
Following some strange behaviour on social media, including a somewhat incomprehensible video on Instagram Live and other criticism of teammates on X, the Hornets revealed last week that the 6-foot-11 forward/center will not be joining the club for training camp.
Kai Jones won’t be attending training camp for “personal reasons,” according to a statement from the Hornets. “A timetable for his comeback to the team is not yet available. The Hornets won’t make any further public comments about the topic at this time due to the sensitive nature of the situation.
Jones has played in 67 games over the course of his two seasons with the Hornets, averaging 2.7 points and two rebounds. Jones also played for Texas for two years.
