Guard Kevin Huerter of the Sacramento Kings will be out due to a labral rupture and dislocated left shoulder.
Huerter hasn’t played since sustaining an injury during Monday night’s victory over Memphis in the first quarter. The team did not provide a timeline for Huerter’s potential return when they announced on Thursday that treatment alternatives are being considered.
The Kings entered the day in sixth place in the Western Conference, one half-game ahead of Dallas and Phoenix, and are currently in a tight struggle to escape the play-in round. The top six Western clubs will make it to the playoffs, with the remaining four teams attempting to get in via the play-in competition.
Huerter, who started 59 games for the Kings this season, is averaging 10.2 points per game, which is less than the 15.2 points per game he scored in his first Sacramento season. He shot just 36.1% from three points this season, down from 40.2% the previous one.
