De’Aaron Fox, the team’s All-Star point guard, sustained an injury on Sunday that lessened the excitement of Sacramento’s overtime victory over the Los Angeles Lakers.

After tumbling badly during his movement to hoop in the fourth quarter, the 25-year-old left the game, came back, and eventually departed again with 37 points.

But while Kings thought he will be back for Wednesday’s game against Golden State Warriors,  the player’s medical team on Monday has given update of his availability to be uncertain.

Fox will miss Wednesday’s game against the Golden State Warriors due to a “moderate” sprain of his right ankle, as the Kings confirmed on Monday based on MRI results. The team stated that his availability “will be determined at a later date.”

Fox in his first three games for Kings has registered an averaged of 31.3 points while shooting 48.6%. The former fifth overall pick was the driving force behind Sacramento’s 16-year playoff drought, which was the worst in the league, ending last year.
