In light of the recent transfer speculation involving Napoli star Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, his father Bardi maintains a belief that his son’s allegiance lies with the Partenopei.
Kvaratskhelia whose contract with Napoli doesn’t end until 2027 has recently been a subject of transfer speculation, with Spanish side Barcelona rumoured to be keenly interested in the services of the Georgian.
Badri Kvaratskhelia, however,kv did reveal that Kvaratskhelia’s future lies in the winger’s hands, in a recent chat with Radio Seria A.
“I am so happy with Napoli’s title and that my son Khvicha contributed to winning it. I am grateful to Italy and Naples for having welcomed and appreciated him as a person and as a footballer,” Bardi said.
“He’s the only one who can choose whether to stay at Napoli, but I think he will continue wearing the Napoli shirt. In any case, I will respect his decision.”
Since he arrived at Napoli, Kvaratskhelia has amassed 38 Seria A goal contributions ( 20 goals and 18 assists), and he was also pivotal to the club winning the 2022/23 Scudetto—their first in the last 33 years.
