Leicester City are struggling near the bottom of the table. They are 19th and trying to escape relegation.

Their last game was a home loss to Arsenal, where substitute Mikel Merino scored twice late in the match. Leicester have lost nine of their last ten league games. They are two points away from safety. With rivals picking up points, they are becoming favourites for relegation alongside Southampton. They will have their next match against Brentford by 21:00 WAT today at King Power Stadium.

Brentford won their last away match against West Ham. Their home form has been strong, but they struggled away earlier in the season. They had taken only two points from 27 before winning their last three games. Those wins were against Southampton, Crystal Palace, and West Ham. They will now aim for a fourth straight away win.

Brentford are not in contention for European spots but still have a chance for a Conference League place. Thomas Frank’s main goal is a top-half finish. He may push his players for more if they continue winning.

Leicester City Team News

James Justin injured his ankle against Arsenal. He was seen in a protective boot, making his availability doubtful. Ruud van Nistelrooy has no new injury concerns besides Abdul Fatawu and Ricardo Pereira. Woyo Coulibaly may replace Justin at right-back. Wout Faes and Caleb Okoli will likely continue in central defence.

Wilfred Ndidi and Boubakary Soumare are expected to start in midfield. Harry Winks may stay on the bench. Facundo Buonanotte could play on the right wing. Bilal El Khannouss and Stephy Mavididi will join him in attack behind Jamie Vardy.

Predicted Leicester Lineup (4-2-3-1): Hermansen; Coulibaly, Faes, Okoli, Kristiansen; Soumare, Ndidi; Buonanotte, El Khannouss, Mavididi; Vardy.

For Brentford, Sepp van den Berg picked up a knee injury against West Ham and he will have a late fitness test. Ethan Pinnock returned in time and could start alongside Nathan Collins. However, they will still miss full-backs Rico Henry and Aaron Hickey.

Vitaly Janelt and Christian Norgaard will play in midfield. Mathias Jensen will likely be on the bench. Bryan Mbeumo, Mikkel Damsgaard, and Kevin Schade will support striker Yoane Wissa in attack.

Brentford Predicted Lineup (4-2-3-1): Flekken; Ajer, Collins, Pinnock, Lewis-Potter; Norgaard, Janelt; Mbeumo, Damsgaard, Schade; Wissa.
